Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-20
This Privacy Policy explains how the Slack DeepResearch Agent ("the App") handles information when you install and use it in Slack workspaces.
Information We Process
- Slack workspace identifiers (for example, team ID) and app installation metadata.
- Report configuration data you provide (query, schedule, destination channel/DM, timezone, mode).
- Valyu API keys you configure for your workspace.
- Research task metadata and generated report outputs required for delivery and retries.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate with Slack and deliver reports/messages to the configured channels or DMs.
- To run scheduled deep research jobs and generate report summaries/PDF outputs.
- To store configuration and task state needed for scheduling, retries, and operational reliability.
Data Storage and Retention
- Workspace configuration is stored in Redis until deleted by workspace administrators or app operators.
- In-flight task state and pending report payloads are retained with expiration windows for reliability.
- Application logs may include operational metadata for debugging and monitoring.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party platforms to function, including:
- Slack (message delivery, app installation, user/workspace context).
- Valyu (research task execution and report generation).
- Vercel and Redis infrastructure (hosting, scheduling, and storage).
Their respective privacy and security practices also apply.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers required to operate the App and only as needed for core functionality.
Your Controls
- You can pause/delete reports from the App Home controls in Slack.
- You can uninstall the App from your Slack workspace at any time.
- You can request deletion of workspace configuration and related data by contacting the app operator.
